Take notice of the crooked tree in the center. This is caused by too many trees in the woodlot. This is why you should harvest periodically so the young trees can grow straight.
This is a mature tree when you remove the mature tree it will promote growth for the smaller trees. You need to sell your mature trees while they are still valuable, don’t wait till they rot or fall down.
If you have trees that you cannot reach your arms around, you may have trees that are ready for harvest. Removing only a percentage of trees will help the overall growth.
